About Biofield Power

Organising India's Agricultural Biomass Supply Chain.

Biofield Power is an IIT Ropar–incubated agritech and climate-tech company building the infrastructure to turn crop residue into a clean energy resource for farmers, industries, and the planet. Every year, millions of tonnes of paddy straw are burned across North India's fields because there is no organised system to collect, transport, and sell it. We are building that system. Our Biomass Logistics Intelligence System (BLIS) digitises the entire supply chain, from farm-level pickup to industrial delivery, creating verifiable and traceable biomass flows that generate income for farmers and reliable fuel for industry. Layered on top is a carbon credit mechanism: every tonne of biomass diverted from burning represents a verified emissions reduction. These reductions are converted into tradable credits under the AMS-III.E methodology, aligning incentives across the ecosystem.

What We Deliver

Turning Crop Residue into Reliable Green Supply.

Farm Collection

Farm Collection

GPS-guided balers, assured pickup, and digital payments direct to farmers.

BLIS Platform

BLIS Platform

Real-time tracking, IoT moisture monitoring, and full chain-of-custody.

Micro Storage Hubs

Micro Storage Hubs

Strategic micro storage hubs ensuring year-round supply to industrial buyers.

Carbon Credits

In process of verifying carbon credits and new revenue for every stakeholder in the value chain.

HOW IT WORKS

From Field to Fuel in Five Steps.

01

Farmer Onboarding

Farmers register on BLIS. Fields are geo-mapped, biomass estimated, and pickup schedules confirmed before harvest.

02

Field Collection

GPS-guided balers collect crop residue. IoT sensors record volume, moisture, and location in real-time.

Transport & Tracking

Bales transported to hubs via tracked vehicles. Chain-of-custody maintained digitally at every handoff point.

Monitored Micro Storage

Biomass stored, quality-tested, and catalogued at strategic hubs — ensuring year-round availability.

Value Created Across The Biomass Ecosystem

A single, traceable biomass supply chain aligns incentives across farmers, industry, and government—turning crop residue from a burning problem into a predictable resource.

For the Farmer

Crop residue becomes income, not waste

  • Straw becomes sellable inventory
  • Assured buyer & transparent pricing
  • Scheduled pickup & timely payment

Result

Burning stops because selling makes sense

For the Industry

Biomass becomes reliable fuel, not operational risk

  • Aggregated, large-scale biomass supply
  • Digitized moisture monitoring
  • Predictable logistics & buffer inventory
  • SLA-backed delivery & traceability

Result

Uninterrupted biomass-based operations at scale

For the Government

Policy moves from intent to execution

  • Reduced stubble burning & fire incidents
  • Improved air quality outcomes
  • Lower enforcement & political pressure

Result

Visibility and control without coercion

Ground Execution

Building on our field experience, we are turning crop residues into reliable feedstock by working hand-in-hand with farmers, partners, and industries on the ground.

Paddy Straw Management

In Punjab, where paddy straw burning has been a major environmental challenge, we have successfully demonstrated a scalable solution by working directly with farmers, machinery partners, and industries. Our team has enabled the collection, baling, aggregation, and responsible utilization of paddy straw that would otherwise be burned in fields.

Through field-level coordination, digital tracking, and structured logistics planning, we have shown that crop residue can become an economic opportunity rather than an environmental liability — reducing emissions while supporting rural livelihoods and clean energy adoption.

Sugarcane Trash Utilization

Building on our experience in paddy straw, we have expanded our work to sugarcane trash — another underutilized biomass resource with significant energy potential. By organizing collection systems and connecting farmers with biomass users, we are unlocking value from residues that traditionally remained unused or were burned.

Our approach ensures that agricultural waste is transformed into a reliable feedstock for industries, bioenergy applications, and sustainable material solutions, contributing to circular economy development in rural regions.
